Seventh-day Adventist business owners and professionals from across the Spanish territory in the Inter-American Division (IAD) territory will get to take part in this year’s online Adventist-laymen’s Services and Industries (ASi) Convention, Aug. 20-22, 2021.

The online event themed “I Will Go” promises to inspire ASi chapter members to reaffirm their commitment of sharing Christ in their businesses and invite other professionals to join in support of the mission of the church.

The convention will be free of charge and will include spiritual reflections, keynote addresses, seminars on professional development and business management as well as chapter reports during the three-day event.

Since the pandemic hit last year, conventions have been held online in the territory’s three major languages: English, Spanish and French separately, organizers said.

“Being that most of our events have had to be held virtually, we decided to continue this year with the idea of having three conventions by language groups,” said Pastor James Daniel, assistant to the IAD president and secretary of ASi Inter-America. “Historically our conventions were held in English and then translated to other languages, but decided to make greater impact with separate conventions so that chapter members and attendees can hear about ASi in their own language.”

Just last month the ASi Inter-America convention for the French territory held its convention July 23-25, and the English version of the convention will be held in October, Pastor Daniel said.

The online convention will begin on Friday, Aug. 20, 2021, starting at 8:00 p.m Miami Time (or 7:00 p.m. Mexico or Panama Time), Sabbath Aug. 21, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and Sunday, Aug. 22, 9:00 a.m. (Miami Time).  View the online event HERE
