Seventh-day Adventist children and adolescent and women’s ministries leaders from across the Inter-American Division will get to learn about initiatives and activities that will highlight the role of children and women in the mission of the church during an online event scheduled for Feb. 18-20, 2020. The three-day online program will gather nearly 200 leaders who will travel to Miami, Florida, United States.

“We want to continue empowering leaders to continue to engage children, adolescents and women in more evangelism to expand God’s kingdom,” said Dinorah Rivera, children and adolescent ministries director for the church in Inter-America and main organizer of the event.  The program will continue to draw from the success of last year’s evangelism for women, the “Talking Backpack” initiative for children, as well as the unveiling of this year’s Vacation Bible School program.

“Thousands of women were directly responsible for teaching Bible schools and ministering to children and women last year, resulting in thousands of baptisms,” said Rivera.  “We don’t want this momentum to stop. So we will reaffirm initiatives and activities and allow for greater networking and new opportunities to be of inspiration and motivation in the task of reaching more for Jesus.”

The event will also focus on the greater role and service women ministry leaders can have in the church and the community through a series of seminars and presentations.

The online workshop will allow hundreds of thousands more leaders across the 23,000 local churches and congregations to see first hand what will be implemented this year.

This year’s complete Vacation Bible School program, themed “Climbing Mountains Hand-in-Hand with God”, will be launched to assist in better implementing the program across the IAD.

A special focus will also be featured on how to better cater to children and adolescents with special needs.

The online program will be carried in English, Spanish, and French HERE as follows in Miami Time:

Tuesday, February 18 – 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Wednesday, February 19 – 8:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.; 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.; 7:30 – 9:30 p.m.
