As Adventist schools throughout the church in Inter-America celebrated a special day of prayer and worship through its Constant in Prayer on April 26, students, teachers and church leaders in Haiti also focused on the power of prayer.

More than 500 students and teachers gathered for a special program at Haiti Adventist University auditorium where they were inspired by church leaders to experience a spiritual revival and reformation. Featuring musical presentations, prayer sessions took place for students and their families, as well as education and government officials, during the program.

Prayer was also offered for those still recovering from the devastating earthquake which struck the country in January 2010, killing over 200,000 and leaving tens of thousands homeless.

“Prayer is the most powerful resource we have,” said Pastor Roberto Herrera, coordinator for revival and reformation in Inter-America as he addressed the assembly.

Leaders visited the church-operated Radio Esperance where prayers were offered and listeners were motivated to search for true spiritual revival in moments of need and moments of joy.
