After months of drilling and competing against hundreds of their peers, Inter-America's 15 Bible Bowl finalists have a little over two weeks to prepare for the final face off and claim the grand prize title. This year's competition is set to take place in Mandeville, Jamaica on Dec. 6, 2008.

The finalists representing Inter-America's major church regions will get a change to compete during a one-hour session of 40 questions on the Book of Isaiah. Competitors will show evidence of their Bible knowledge as they answer questions found on any of the 66 chapters of Isaiah in front of a live audience.

This year's Bible Bowl finale program will become the fifth such competition to take place in Inter-America and the first to be held in English-speaking country, says Pstor Bernardo Rodriguez, youth ministries director for the church in Inter-America and organizer of the event.

“We are excited to have had thousands of young people studying the Book of Isaiah which tells us the good news that we are important to God and invites us to shine wherever we are,” says Pastor Rodriguez.

Prizes to the top three finalists include a laptop computer, scholarships to an Inter-American university, or a collection of books and cash prizes among others.

The Bible bowl finale competition is set to begin at 4:00p.m. Miami Time on Dec. 6. The competition will be streamed live over the internet from Northern Caribbean University.
